Prisco’s Week 12 NFL picks: Tom Brady, Bucs win third in a row; Titans get revenge on Bengals

It finally happened. I had a great week in all three aspects of game selection.

I placed my best bets as part of the Pick Six podcast on’s expert picks 4-2, 11-3 straight up, and 7-5-2.

This raises my best betting record to 38-25-2, which I’m happy about. The straight up record is now 95-69 and the ATS record is 74-82-8. The latter needs to get above .500, so that’s the goal for the next few weeks.

Let’s hope I have a good weekend. Let’s begin with a sweep of the games played by teams that have great success on Thanksgiving.

Thursday, 12:30 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount+)

Featured game | Detroit Lions vs. Buffalo Bills

This is a result of an offensive game. Both teams can score, but the Bills can really score. They’ll put up big numbers here with Josh Allen picking up his second straight win in Detroit after beating the Browns at the same venue last week. The track is fast and Bill can fly. The Lions can’t keep up.

Select: Bills 40, Lions 23

Thursday, 4:30 p.m. ET (Fox, FuboTV)

Featured game | Against the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants

The Giants are coming off a terrible home game against the Lions, which means they may have been waiting for this one. The Cowboys beat the Vikings to make things right. The defense dominated and will dominate here. Giants are too limited in attack.

Select: Cowboys 31, Giants 14

Thursday, 8:20 p.m. ET (NBC, FuboTV)

The Vikings were embarrassed at home on Sunday, getting blown out by the Cowboys. They will come back here and play better. New England’s offense is struggling, but the defense is playing well. However, I think the Vikings will respond offensively to win this one. The Patriots offense is bad.

Select: Vikings 24, Patriots 14

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (Fox, FuboTV)

Featured game | Carolina Panthers vs. Denver Broncos

This is the dog game of the week with two heinous crimes. First one to win 10? Denver has the better defense, but at home I think the Panthers will find a way to win this time. Denver continues to struggle.

Select: Panthers 17, Broncos 13

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (Fox, FuboTV)

Featured game | Cleveland Browns and Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Bucs came out on top in the first innings and seemed poised to finish the season the way they expected. They’re getting healthy and that’s going to matter a little bit from here on out. Have a good Tom Brady day because the Browns are bad defensively. The Browns running game is limited. Bucks will take it.

Select: Bucks 30, Brown 17

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount+)

Featured game | Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Baltimore Ravens

The Jaguars have a tough game at home against the Ravens. Baltimore’s defense has rebounded in recent weeks and is a real challenge for Trevor Lawrence. Lamar Jackson and the offense deserve it. It would be a low score, but it’s close.

Select: Ravens 21, Jaguars 20

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount+)

Featured game | Miami Dolphins vs. Houston Texans

Dolphins are happy, like people who like them very much. The Texans might make a quarterback change, but it doesn’t matter. The Dolphins have been offensive all year, and that’s not going to change. Tua Tagovailoa keeps rolling him with a bang.

Select: Dolphins 36, Texas 14

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (Fox, FuboTV)

Featured game | New York Jets vs. Chicago Bears

It won’t be pretty if Justin Fields can’t play. Both offenses will be severely curtailed. The Jets have a better defense that is on the brink of dominance. That’s the difference between the two, regardless of who plays quarterback.

Select: Planes 20, Bears 14

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount+)

Featured game | Tennessee Titans vs. Cincinnati Bengals

This is a rematch of last January’s playoff game where the Bengals beat the Titans on the road. The Bengals have been playing better of late, but on the back-to-back road, the Titans will be rested after their performance last Thursday. Derrick Henry wasn’t himself when they made the playoffs last season. He is now. The Titans get it behind his running back.

Select: Titans 27, Bengals 21

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (Fox, FuboTV)

Featured game | Atlanta Falcons vs. Washington Commanders

It’s kind of a playoff game. Both teams are alive. Washington turned the season around thanks to its defense. Taylor Heinicke is also making a timely play. The difference is that the Falcons are limited offensively. Washington is still hot.

Select: Commander 27, Falcon 17

Sunday, 4:05 PM ET (CBS, Paramount+)

Featured game | Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Chargers

The Cardinals looked awful in their loss to the 49ers in Mexico and are now playing on their playoff hopes. The Chargers are coming off a loss to the Chiefs, but they showed life in this game on offense. And that continues as Justin Herbert has a big day.

Select: Chargers 30, Cardinals 20

Sunday, 4:05 PM ET (CBS, Paramount+)

Featured game | Los Angeles Rams, Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks have a bye and the Raiders are playing on the road for the second time. Bad combination. The Raiders have major defensive issues and that will show against Seattle’s good offense. Geno Smith and the Seahawks get it.

Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET (Fox, FuboTV)

Featured game | Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Rams

While the Chiefs are riding high, the Rams are a mess. The Rams have health issues and may be without Matthew Stafford. This is the problem. The Chiefs have Patrick Mahomes, and he’ll be running the Rams defense. Exploding city.

Select: Head 37, Ram 13

Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET (Fox, FuboTV)

Featured game | San Francisco 49ers and New Orleans Saints

The 49ers had a great win over the Mexican Cardinals. They seem to be going all out on offense. The Saints beat the Rams last week with Andy Dalton playing well. The 49ers have a short week, so I think they will be in this game. It’s closer than expected.

Select: 49ers 24, Saints 20

Sunday, 8:20 p.m. ET (NBC, FuboTV)

Featured game | Philadelphia Eagles vs Green Bay Packers

The Packers’ playoff chances are almost certainly alive, but this is the real challenge of trying to keep them alive. Aaron Rodgers didn’t play very well last week, but I think he plays better here. The Eagles haven’t been very good in the last two games. Packers keep it close.

Select: Eagles 26, Packers 21

Monday, 8:15 p.m. ET (ESPN, FuboTV)

Featured game | Indianapolis Colts vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

The Colts were on their way to going 2-0 under Jeff Saturday last week, but blew a late lead against the Eagles. The Steelers played better against the Bengals with Kenny Pickett at quarterback. The Steelers defense is much better with TJ Watt and I think that front will keep the Steelers in this game.

Select: Colts 20, Steelers 19
