A new pickleball-centric entertainment district is set to host its grand opening in Overland Park, Kansas. SERV, a new indoor and outdoor entertainment complex, will offer a variety of dining concepts, pickleball courts, large yard games and private event spaces. No exact date has been announced for the grand opening, which will take place at 9051 Metcalf Ave. “SERV was designed in 2020 by local creative restaurateur Rachel Kennedy-Cuevas, whose previous concepts include the innovative food and retail shipping container park, The Iron District. Kennedy-Cuevas has set its sights on this exciting new venture in the growing world of EATertainment,” the complex’s owners announced in a press release Tuesday. Overland Park will be home to six new climate-controlled indoor and two outdoor courts. SERV also boasts six outdoor restaurant designs, all owned and operated by the company. Options include barbecue, street tacos and a plant-based concept. The complex also offers two large bars, an ice cream/dessert, and an on-site coffee shop in partnership with Messenger Coffee Co., with a pop-up window. During the grand opening, there will be tours of the grounds, pickleball demonstrations and plenty of food and drink for the public to enjoy. SERV is also looking for employees ahead of its opening.
