SILVER CREEK — Anderson-Lee Library, 43 Main St., has announced its program for the month of October.

The programs are free and open to the public.

Unless otherwise noted, registration is required to ensure sufficient seating and materials for all guests participating in the program.

¯ Paws to Read, Thursday 6th October from 4:30pm to 5:30pm Come read or tell a story to Certified Therapy Dog Certain. Certain is an Irish Wolf Hound and lives in Hamburg with his handler Kim. This program is offered on the first Thursday of October, November and December. Reservations for a 10 minute slot with Certain can be made by visiting our website, clicking on the Events tab and then clicking on the Paws to Read events listing. ¯ Preschool Story Time for children aged 2-5 on Thursday mornings 6, 13 & 20 October with Miss Jill at 10:30am. Children will participate in reading, singing, rhyming and fun crafts. The number of participants is limited to 10 children, advance registration is requested. School age story time for children aged 6 to 12 on Thursday mornings 6, 13 and 20 October at 10:30 am with Miss Amy. Stories, crafts, games and other activities are offered. The number of participants is limited to 10 children, advance registration is requested.

¯ The Jeffers Pumpkin Patch, Tuesday, October 11 at 6 p.m. This hour-long show includes a magic show, photo opportunities, a small petting zoo, scarecrows, pumpkins and more! For all ages. Please register in advance.

¯ Lego Club for 5-12 year olds, Saturday 22 October at 11am. Build the challenge of the day, choose a challenge card or build for free. Your decision! limit of 10

¯ Annual Trick or Read, Thursday October 27 at 6pm. Come dressed up, play games, do crafts, read stories and get treats! For all ages. Please register in advance.

¯ Winter Seeding Workshop with CW Native Plant Farm, Saturday, October 29 at 10am. Learn to plant seeds in the middle of winter to get a head start on growth! Plants will also be available for purchase. Please register in advance.
