New Child Advocacy Services location that continues to serve the River Region faithfully

DESTREHAN – Child Advocacy Services (CAS) is taking a BIG step to help more children! CAS will serve the entire River Parish region from a new location. This new website will allow CAS to better offer a wider range of services to local children and families. River Region employees will now provide services from a location at 13726 River Road Suite 100 in Destrehan.

CAS made the decision to move its entire River Region capacity to a single location and office. Before Hurricane Ida, CAS had offices in LaPlace and Luling. However, like many in the area, the LaPlace office was severely damaged. With that in mind, the overall decision helped consolidate our River Region team into one location. Staff identified a location and office being renovated on River Road in Destrehan. This new location is more visible than ever and presents itself as child-friendly and welcoming.

CAS will continue to provide all the services that were offered through both offices prior to the move. These include running the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program, providing community-based prevention education services, and counseling and psychiatric services.

We believe that the people who serve and the places we serve from are two critical ingredients to the overall success of caring for children!” Rob Carlisle, CEO, Child Advocacy Services.
