India rose eight places in its global ranking for average mobile speed, from 113th in October to 105th in November

Ookla®, the world leader in network intelligence and connectivity information, today released an update to its global Speedtest index for the month of November 2022.
According to Ookla®, in the month of November, India recorded average mobile download speeds of 18.26 Mbps, which is better than 16.50 Mbps in October 2022. With this, the country has shown a significant improvement in its ranking overall and is now in position 105 from position 113. in October.
However, India has slipped one place in the global ranking for overall average fixed broadband speeds and is now in 80th position from 79th in October. India’s performance in average fixed download speeds witnessed a slight increase from 48.78 in October to 49.09 Mbps in November.
According to November’s Global Speedtest Index, Qatar tops the list of global average mobile speeds, while Senegal jumps 16 places worldwide. For fixed broadband download speeds, Chile remains in first place and Palestine and Bhutan have risen 14 places globally.
