It is no news to anyone that young people need all the help they can get to build a robust and relevant Christian faith amidst today’s ever-changing and challenging culture. In fact, the folks at the Pew Research Center recently announced that their new predictive models of future beliefs raise major concerns. They estimate that in 2020, 64% of Americans, including children, will report being Christians. But according to current trends, they predict that the majority could shrink to a minority within a few decades.
This means that Christian youth need to be built up in their understanding and love of the Christian faith. In short, they must have a Christian worldview because right thinking drives right practice and belief.
That’s why Summit Ministries, a longtime and close friend of Focus on the Family, who is celebrating his 60th birthday this year, is launching a brand new six-episode video/discussion course featuring well-known Christian thinkers like Kirk Cameron, Lee Strobel, Sean McDowell and Alisa Chambers.

Key questions the series explores include:
- worldview – Can we align our beliefs and actions?
- reality – What does Christianity say about the world?
- Jesus – Who is he?
- truth – Is Christianity credible?
- identity – Who are we in Christ?
- company – How should we live?
This helpful resource was first conceived by the Summit Ministries team just over a year ago to address the need to engage parents in getting involved in educating their children about what Christianity can do for their lives and communities world means today.
dr Jeff Myers, President of the Summit, said that Daily Citizen“The team chose the name Now we live based on John 8:32, where Jesus tells us, “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” “The truth truly sets us free to live the way Jesus intended for us all,” Myers explained . He continues: “Now we shall live, and we live Yes, really will live. Christianity is all about life, and that is what this curriculum is about.”
Each episode is relatively short, including two interviews that cover six critical issues. Myers said his vision is to use this video/discussion material in more than 10,000 churches. “If Jesus is the truth, and I firmly believe that he is, then I want as many people as possible to be delivered from the ‘your truth/my truth’ lie. That’s what this resource is supposed to do.”
