UNIONPORT — A spaghetti and meatball dinner fundraiser will be held Saturday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Wayne Township Community Center in Unionport
Meals are $12 and include salad, spaghetti and meatballs, bread, drinks, and dessert.
The proceeds go towards the upkeep of the center.

RICHMOND — “Saturday Night Lights” Fun shows continue Saturday on the grounds of the Steubenville Saddle Club, located at 8675 State Route 152 N., Richmond.
The arena opens at 5:00 p.m., with classes starting at 6:00 p.m. for the rain or shine event.
Classes include obstacle course/horse-dog racing; hot dog races; relay race; barrels; stock horse racing; jumps and bars; granny panty race; tossing eggs on horseback; and water races.
All levels of riders are welcome. Some refreshments will be available.
The last fun show of the season takes place on October 22nd.

Camera club exhibition opened
September 29 at the Summit Art Gallery
WEIRTON – The Upper Ohio Valley Camera Club is coming to the Summit Art Gallery on September 29 for a new exhibition.
“The Top of West Virginia Convention and Visitors Bureau and Arts Council are pleased to once again partner with the club to exhibit the photographs of nine members.” noted a spokesman.
The show will feature the winners of September’s annual competition, which consists of 16 categories including Scenic, Sunrises & Sunsets, Special Effects, Pets, Black & White, Children and Flowers. The pictures were taken with digital and film cameras as well as cell phone photography.
Originally known as the Steubenville Camera Club, UOVCC was founded in Steubenville in 1974. The name was later adjusted to better accommodate additional members from West Virginia and Ohio. The club meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in Wintersville at Two Ridges Presbyterian Church, 1085 Canton Road.
The meetings are free and open to people of all ages and experience levels.
The participating photographers will be present during the opening reception on September 29 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Guests are invited to vote for their favorite photo and a People’s Choice winner will be announced at the end of the evening. Light refreshments will be served during this complimentary event.
The exhibition will be on view at the Summit Art Gallery through November 1 during gallery hours Monday through Friday 9:30am to 5:00pm and Saturday 10:00am to 2:00pm. Parking is available behind the building at 3539 Main St., Weirton.
Kitty Kochman neighborhood
Auction takes place on Sunday
WEIRTON — The Weirton Kiwanis Club is hosting the Kitty Kochman Quarter Auction fundraiser, which will be held Sunday at Undo’s at the Holiday Inn Weirton, 350 Three Springs Drive.
Doors open at 12:30pm, auction starts at 1:30pm. Tickets are $5 for one paddle, additional paddles are available for $1 each.
Tickets will be sold on the day of the auction but can be purchased in advance by contacting Ernie Nicholas, Club President at (304) 479-0235.
Every ticket purchased includes a chance at a door prize. There will be a 50-50 draw and a Chinese auction. Groceries can be purchased at Undo’s Restaurant.
Proceeds benefit the Weirton Kiwanis Club’s community projects.
Catherine Ann “Kitten” Kochman had served and volunteered as the club’s secretary before her death on March 11 “many tireless hours on Kiwanis projects”, a spokesman remarked.`
