AFFIN BANK, MdI AND BERRY PAY LAUNCH THE FIRST E-LINSOLVENSI

MOBILE APPLICATION

KUALA LUMPUR: Affin Bank Berhad (“AFFIN BANK” or “the Bank”) and Affin Islamic Bank Berhad (“AFFIN ISLAMIC”) has entered into a tripartite partnership with the Malaysian Insolvency Department (MdI) and Berry Pay (M) Sdn. Bhd. (BerryPay) to launch the e-linsolvensi mobile application (mobile application).

The mobile app complements the existing e-linsolvensi web portal, which provides online insolvency services and payment facilities to the public and MdI stakeholders. Services and facilities are now accessible through the app, providing a personalized mobile experience to the public and stakeholders to perform their tasks more safely and conveniently. The application allows the public and interested parties to conduct insolvency searches of companies and individual bankrupt companies and make payments for requests for deposits and monthly installments or contributions anytime, anywhere. MdI provides electronic payment services to the public and its stakeholders through GIRO Bank Transfer (IBG), Financial Process Exchange Payment (FPX), JomPay and Card Terminal. The mobile app will enhance the public experience and is part of the development of online digital options for greater access to MdI services and facilities.

The official launch of the e-linsolvensi mobile application took place recently at AFFIN BANK’s new headquarters, Menara AFFIN @ TRX at Tun Razak Exchange (TRX). The launch ceremony was officiated by the Director General of Insolvency, YBhg.Dato’ Anita Harun, Chairman

BerryPay Malaysia, as one of the partners in this collaboration, is responsible for developing the e-linsolvensi mobile application. BerryPay Malaysia is a financial technology (fintech) company that provides digital financial solutions and mobile application development services.

They specialize in digital billing and payment solutions, including e-government payment solutions.

Chairman and Group Chief Executive Officer, Affin Bank Berhad Datuk Wan Razly Abdullah said, “We are honored to be entrusted by MdI “acquiring bank” for this new venture and this collaboration is one of the Bank’s many efforts and commitment to support the aspiration of the Malaysian government’s national initiative: MyDIGITAL and Malaysia Digital Economy Blueprint 2021-2025, as well as the success of the MdI 2021-2025 digitization plan .

He added: “We are in the era of digital transformation change, that is why we are delighted to work closely with MdI and BerryPay Malaysia on the new mobile app. With the new e-linsolvensi mobile app, users can easily access all the features . who are already on the official web portal and enjoy a perfect experience at their fingertips and make payments in a fast, secure and simple way.”

The new e-linsolvensi app is publicly available on the App Store, Google Playstore, Huawei App Gallery and the GAMMA app “Galeri Aplikasi Mudah Alih Kerajaan Malaysia” from October 21, 2022.
