Promega hosts the 12th Biennial PhotoMidwest Festival
MADISON, WI–(BUSINESS WIRE)–
Promega hosts PhotoMidwest, a non-profit photography education program, to highlight the work of more than 60 Midwestern photographers. The Promega Fall Art Showcase 2022 presents the 12th PhotoMidwest Festival Biennial, a juried exhibition, from September 22nd to December 2nd.
The works will be on display at the Promega Art Showcase gallery on the biotechnology company’s Fitchburg campus. The exhibition will be judged by Aline Smithson, an interdisciplinary artist, educator and editor based in Los Angeles.
Symposium and opening reception
The exhibition opens Thursday, September 22 at the Promega BioPharmaceutical Technology Center, 5445 E Cheryl Parkway in Fitchburg. An opening reception will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. with Smithson speaking at 5 p.m. The reception is free and open to the public.
photography workshops
Smithson will be conducting two photography workshops on Friday, September 23rd. The first workshop, Photographing with Intention, is aimed at photographers who are at the beginning or in the middle of their career. The second, Presenting Your Work to the Fine Art Market, is for mid-career artists who have created a work. Both workshops will be held at Promega and are open to the public. Promega Art Showcase
The 2022 Promega Fall Art Showcase will be held September 22 through December 2 and is open to the public Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Promega Biopharmaceutical Technology Center at 5445 East Cheryl Parkway.
